Andrea Miracle is a dedicated community advocate with an extensive history of volunteer and leadership experience in the City of Edwardsville. After living in Edwardsville for nearly 20 years, Andrea Miracle is running for 3rd Ward Alderman to make Edwardsville an even better place to call home.
A Mom who gets results.
In our schools:
Before serving as PTO President, Andrea introduced the Bobcat Prowl fundraiser to Woodland Elementary, seeing a growing need for increased funding for our public schools.
In its first year, Bobcat Prowl raised thousands for Woodland Elementary, and is still going strong! This past year alone, with the hard work of its students, teachers, and faculty, and volunteers, the now annual fundraiser brought in over $30,000 to make sure our kids are getting the best education available.
In our city government:
In 2021, Andrea was appointed to the City of Edwardsville's Plan Commission. The Plan Commission carefully prepares recommendations to City Council for current and future developments and improvements. If a proposal comes along for an area she's less familiar with, Andrea hops in the car to see for herself how it would impact nearby residents or businesses to ensure permanent decisions are made with the utmost care and with the community in mind.
For our kids:
Andrea currently serves as Co-Chair of the Edwardsville Community Foundation's Education Committee, providing dozens of scholarships each year for every type of student. From those who excel academically, students pursing the arts, or those attending trade and vocational schools, Andrea is dedicated to ensuring that every kid has the opportunity to be successful and the resources to get them there.
